What it does:
Overview
Days 12-15 are part of the ovulatory phase of your menstrual cycle. This is the time when the follicle reaches its optimum size and the endometrium thickens. The body then signals the follicle to release an egg from the ovaries to the uterus where fertilization can take place.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the ovulatory stage is considered the Yang part of the cycle beginning when the Yin cycle has peaked.
Sometimes a woman can experience a delay between cervical mucus and the temperature surge, which will delay healthy ovulation.
In TCM, delayed ovulation is believed to be a kidney and Spleen/Qi deficiency. A2 Cycle rectifies this deficiency.
What it is best for:
A2 Cycle is a combination of Chinese herbs that supports a fertile environment by balancing menstrual cycles and supporting ovulation.
A2 Cycle is used for days 12-15 in a woman's menstrual cycle when the follicle grows, the endometrium thickens, and the body is preparing to fertilize the released egg.
Why it works:
The ovulatory phase last about 3 days, 12-15 days after day one of your menstrual cycle, which is the first day of your period. As ovulation approaches, the growing follicle and endometrium thickens, then the body signals the follicle to release an egg from the ovaries. The egg travels from the fallopian tube towards the uterus. This is where fertilization can take place. Also, at this time the cervix opens and and fertile mucus is produced by a gland in the endocervix. The purpose of the fertile mucous is to aid the survival of sperm and helps their movement from the vagina through the cervix. The lifespan of the egg after ovulation is just 12-24 hours. Fertilization must take place during this time in order to conceive.
In traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) charting cervical mucus and temperature fluctuation helps us to see the choreography of yin and yang. Yin peaks and Yang rises which indicates that ovulation has begun and the egg is ready to be fertilized. This choreography can be affected when there isn't enough egg white cervical mucus, a delay between cervical mucus and the temperature surge can delay ovulation.
