In general, vitamin B12 works with folate to promote DNA and red blood cell health.
Folic acid is also essential for normal fetal neural development. Adequate folate status is critical for nucleic acid synthesis and neurotransmitter synthesis. At the molecular level, the main function of folate is to donate methyl groups in key biochemical reactions occurring in blood cells, neurons, the vasculature and many other tissues. Pure Encapsulations B12 Folate contains:
- B12 ( as methylcobalamin) 800 mcg
- Folic acid 800 mcg
- Vitamin C (as ascorbyl palmitate) 2 mg
- Other ingredients: hypo-allergenic plant fiber, vegetable capsule.
Methylcobalamin is produced from corn dextrose fermentation.
Vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate) is derived from corn dextrose fermentation and palm oil.
Hypo-allergenic plant fiber is derived from pine cellulose.
Contains No: hidden coatings, excipients, binders, fillers, shellacs, artificial colors or fragrances. In addition, contains NO dairy, wheat, yeast, gluten, corn, sugar, starch, soy, preservatives or hydrogenated oils.
How you use it:
As a dietary supplement, take 1-2 capsules daily, in divided doses, with meals.
